Finnish National Opera and Ballet for Ukraine
Finlandia by Jean Sibelius is one of the most profound musical symbols of independent Finland. It reflects the hopeful sentiments of a nation, the awakening to freedom after the dark era of oppression. With this performance we send our support and solidarity to the people of Ukraine in times of unprecedented crisis.
We want to challenge artists and cultural institutions all over the world to join us here in the ”Songs For Ukraine”- Facebook page. You are all welcome to post your own musical expressions of solidarity. ”Songs For Ukraine” is cooperating with the Finnish Red Cross in raising funds for the victims of the war in Ukraine. All donations will go in their entirety to this cause.
